The event was good overall, however there were issues that unfortunately made it a less enjoyable experience. 1. The festival is called 'Madrid Esencia' but the event was actually not in Madrid, but in a small town in the vicinity of Madrid called Aranjuez. This meant that we not only did not get to feel like we were at a dance event in the capital city of Spain, but also that we had to spend a long time on public transport as the hotel wasn't the best connected location to the airport. 2. I loved the festival for many reasons. Everything else was perfect, the only points, and that are very common among festivals indeed : - artists staying near the room entrance during socials, creating congestion and making it difficult to go out and in and dangerous to dance at this location. - sound was too high, especially during the salsas (less people and sounds different than bachata). I had to leave the room as it killed my ears although i was willing to dance.

En la sala hacia mucho calor Demasiada salsa para ser un congreso con tantos instructores de bachata se podría poner otra sala más pequeña con bachata y salsa y en la sala grande una salsa cada hora Las animaciones son prescindibles y si se hacen que sean más cortas y más temprano La actuación de mitad de noche de grupo esencia del sábado me gustó mucho La música de DJ Pier regular,York bastante bien salvo algunos ratos de mucha dominicana, el mejor dj el del principio del sabado noche

The festival itself was pretty amazing. However, there is some things which could be improved by next time: - Communication. There was barely any info before the event, just the absolute bare minimum. It would be nice to have more frequent info about... basically, everything. - I might missed something (again, due to lack of communication), but by the time I got aware there is an option the get lunch/dinner at the venue (from a Facebook post, like 3 days before the event), it was already sol

Very good venue, excellent workshop Social dancing parties - started way too late, Saturday dj was plain bad (cross-fading songs so the beginning and the end of the songs was very confusing, breaking the energy of the song with inserting unnecessary basses etc)

DJs: un dj en un social tiene que dejar si o si acabar las canciones, no tiene ningún sentido que hagan transiciones en las que comienza una canción antes de finalizar la otra. Por que? Pues fácil, en las introducciones de las canciones, es donde "conoces" a tu pareja y tratas de establecer la conexión con ella. Salvo que yo esté equivocado, el congreso se hizo en Aranjuez, España, donde el idioma oficial es el Español/Castellano. Me parece muy bien que quieran hacer una explicación en inglés

No habia tarima en la sala 2 donde se hacia clases de salsa, fue muy complicado seguir las clases. Baile social: la impresion es que si no tienes un nivel alto y/o no perteneces a ninugna academia, es muy dificl bailar. Hemos echado en falta un poco de animacion, bailes juntos, ruedas, etc. Y quizas hubiera estado bien que los profes estuvieran ahi bailando con los asistentes, un ratito. Y demasiada bachata teniendo en cuenta que no era un festival de bachata.

Esencia festival was great! The level of the workshops was amazing, the energy was high and flowing and I can't wait to go next year. Also, the shows were A-MA-ZING. Me encantó!
