Takeshi Young is a salsa dancer, choreographer, and competitor based in San Jose, California. 

With over 20 years of social and performance experience and 15 years as a salsa coach, Takeshi has competed at major events including the SF International Salsa Congress, Portland Salsa Congress, the US Salsa Open Championships, and the World Latin Dance Cup. 

He has performed with renowned teams such as Pretty Boys & Girls and Salsamania Dance Company, where he trained On2 and competed internationally.

Takeshi is the founder and director of Spartan Mambo, the collegiate Latin dance team at San José State University, which has won more collegiate salsa titles than any other college salsa team.
